Peelings

Peeling is, first of all, a procedure for cleansing the skin, which provides for removal of the upper layer of the toughened skin, leading to skin renovation and acceleration of the epidermis’s metabolic processes.
Basic varieties of peeling:
- superficial;
- medium;
- deep.
By its very nature superficial peeling is a procedure which is to a great extent analogous to the natural cell renewal. It is recommended for prevention of skin aging, elimination of acne and unhealthy skin tone. Usually, such peelings are not aggressive and do not cause unpleasant sensations.
Medium peeling, also known as the “golden mean”, is the peeling of the middle layers of the skin, which is aimed at eliminating skin defects. In addition, the procedure is not lengthy, so it’s possible to be performed even during a lunch break. Used for skin with already pronounced age-related changes; wrinkles; in the presence of pitted acne scars and hyperpigmentation.
Deep peeling is one of the most aggressive procedures in cosmetology. This procedure should be performed by a dermatologist in the outpatient setting with anesthesia. After applying a highly concentrated acid, a small burn occurs, which destroys the middle, upper and deep layers of the epidermis.
Chemical peeling is the most effective cleansing procedure, but it is also quite aggressive, therefore it is intended for people with skin showing signs of aging or metabolic disorders.
It is indicated if the patient has:
- flabby, crepey skin with wrinkles and creases;
- with scars after injuries or operations;
- acne or scarring after acne self-treatment;
- rosacea (pink acne);
- dyschromia (unhealthy complexion);
- pigmentation and freckles;
- horny or deciduous skin areas;
- stretch marks;
- ingrown hairs;
- photo aging.
To obtain a positive result from the procedure, the following contraindications must be taken into account:
- skin viral infections;
- conglobate acne;
- somatic diseases;
- chills or fever;
- thyroid disorders;
- open or fresh wounds on the face;
